Variable width for all press rotary double width format

Today is increasing largely the number of publishers to reduce the size of their newspapers to save paper and plates.

This limits the market for double-width presses that can print only one size of paper. They have, in most cases, fixed bandwidth, by not being able to vary the centers of the two trainers in the folding funnel, with respect to the axis of the machine, contrary to what happens with single-width presses, which can reduce product size.

Until now there was only one solution: change the press, what this meant, large and expensive machine operations and weeks of standing. Furthermore, this measure was irreversible and was counting on a single newspaper format.

TGA Ingeniería Gráfica, S.L. has managed and developed a system remarkably easy to reduce the bandwidth in the double-wide format machines.

Compact and modular

The equipment is modular and very small, so easily joined at the head of the folder.

This device is completely independent. Cut the band just before going into the folder, when threading is carried throughout the machine by moving the two halves laterally centered with the axis of the funnels. The entire operation is controlled from the control panel.

The threading is thus equal to that performed before entering the facility. Even you can still use the automatic threading system, if the machine had it.

A versatile media

With CAF TGA remains the possibility of using the original bandwidth or change at the whim of newspaper design and enables the printer to access all forms of periodic flooding the market now and that before he escaped.

The change in bandwidth is so easy and fast as it is in single-wide machines.

An installation without trauma

Another advantage of this system is its installation, is very short (two or three days) and is not necessary to discontinue production. This technique discards expensive and irreversible transformations in the different assemblies of the machine.

Our experience

Our “CAF has been successfully installed in the” MAN Unimar 4 / 2 “to” INGRASA “is in production at its plant in Puerto Real in which, among many others, prints the “Diario de Cádiz “in” Wifag OF 9.2 “Printing Services Levante, SA Printing Services and Castellón where, among many others, is printed “La Razón” and “El Sport.” It has been developed for the “Mitsubishi” of where they print Print Recoprint, among others, the daily “Marca”, and “Goss HT70″ and “MAN Colorman” of Fabripress, SA where, among others, is printed “El Mundo.”
