TGA has designed, custom manufactured, and implemented an open-loop tension control system for rewinding material on a carbon fiber slitter.
The system consists of a servomotor that controls the rewinding tension based on the diameter reading from a laser used for distance measurement, along with a synchronous transmission.
It also features a conical aluminum rewinder coated with tungsten carbide plasma with non-stick properties to allow for easy release of waste.
